Adrenalin Activities

Jet Boating

Climb aboard the Longridge Jet Boat and feel the rush as you thunder up the mighty Kaituna River. Hold on tight as you experience 360-degree spins.

White-Water Rafting

Raft the Waikato River with River Rats. This is often regarded as New Zealand's best white-water run, but the river is only open to rafters for 26 days each year. This is a Grade 5 adventure that you'll never forget, along a stunning boulder-lined gorge. The journey combines churning rapids with breathtaking drops and is not for the faint-hearted!

Para-sailing or Hang-gliding

Imagine soaring above Mount Maunganui's harbour or beaches while you are safely attached to a cruising boat, or launching off the summit of Mount Maunganui, with your own pair of 'wings'.

BloKarts

BloKarting is fast-becoming the world's number one land-based sailing sport. It's very popular in the Bay of Plenty.

Head to the BloKart track (15 minutes drive from Cutterscove) for practise, then take the BloKart to the beach and hurtle along miles and miles of smooth white sand with the wind as your horsepower.

Sky Diving

One of the best ways to see the magnificence of this region is from the air - soaring like a bird and slowly descending back to earth by parachute.

Of course, you may be far too exhilarated to notice the views!

Bay of Plenty Sky Diving operators offer both tandem (just jump and let your instructor do the rest) or solo skydives.

Bungy-Jumping

Experience the kiwi invention that has turned into a world-wide phenomenon. Attached by a giant elastic cord, you leap off a fearfully-high platform, plummeting to the earth before bouncing back from certain death! The closest bungy-jump is in Rotorua, a one hour scenic drive from Cutterscove.

4WD U-Drive

You do the driving - in a Suzuki Vitara 4WD, on specially-designed off-road tracks The 3 kilometres of track includes 12 challenges (wet and dry!) and as you navigate the challenging terrain, you are guided by a trained guide over the CB radio. Great Fun!
